As great as they look, I don't think the Class opening titles (including the music) match the show at all. Except maybe for the last part (the Class logo on a black background), the titles just don't capture the moods or feelings of the show. They're too bright and colourful, and feel wrong in the context of the show. Thoughts?

Gotta disagree with you. I think they do match the show...they're raw and bloody-looking and diverse, with flashes of darkness.
As for the music - a YA show is going to have a pop song over the titles, like it or not. I wasn't expecting them to go for a Doctor Who-esque opening? 'Up All Night' is as good a song as any, I think, and the lyrics are about becoming an adult.
I like how the title sequance references old Doctor Who titles. There's the purple spiraling galaxy behind the Class logo at the end that's exactly like the one in the Sylvester McCoy opening. And I saw a few time vortexes...

The chracaters are diverse? And deep red is one of the predominant colours.

The chracaters are diverse? And deep red is one of the predominant colours. To be honest, I haven't really been paying attention to the diversity of the characters - I've been more focused on most of them being walking stereotypes. The predominant colours of the show mostly have darker tones, while the predominant colours of the opening titles are mostly very bright.
